Thanks Brian. I was thinking that a temp file is created somewhere while the game is active and deleted when the game is exited. I have seen websites that are able to publish the game stats, including all the sub-categories (ATOI, Hits, FO%, PPG, SHG, etc.), and those are clearly not available in th...

If I can add to the discussion as well...what is the file name in resident memory? The games stats are stored in tables in the .cli files of the players and the attributes come from the DB.viv files, but is there a master DB file created (DB.viv has all of the table formats that are in the *.cli fil...

I had asked the same question back in October. According to the fabulous Artem (Suchy), the overall for skaters is calculated with the following fields:

HERO 2.885
PCTL 1.155
PASS 1.155
SACC 1.155
WACC 1.155
SPD 0.58
DEKE 0.58
SPOW 0.58
WPOW 0.58
CHK 0.58

I thought I replied to this question in another forum, but I am old, so I forget things now :) It may be easier to try and find the file with the owner goals, or specifically, the goal for this season and edit that. I am not sure where it is stored as Dynasties have many more tables than in an Onlin...

Editing stats is very tricky...they are tied into multiple tables so it would be a nightmare to have them editable without possibly crashing the game. A better question might be are the owner goals editable? It has to be stored somewhere, possibly even in a txt format, so it might be editable to som...

It's your game pad. go get the (Saitek p880 dual analog pad ) it will work. I have that gamepad (now) and you can get the same problem with the P880 when it is not in digital mode. The answer to the question is that it is a calibration issue on your controller, probably an analog stick. This does n...

I have not tried using it, but there is an "NHL2005 Joystick Redefiner" utility created by the RHL Mod Developers group that you may be able to use.

you can get it here:

Just so you know, the changing the Hero rating is harly inconsequential. In fact, it has the biggest impact on the players ratings. According to the fabulous Artem (Suchy), the overall for skaters is calculated with the following fields: HERO 2.885 PCTL 1.155 PASS 1.155 SACC 1.155 WACC 1.155 SPD 0.5...

The overall is a calculated value - and as such you cannot change the overall without changing some of the players attributes. As mentioned by the guest above, you can easily influence the overall by changing Hero rating. This will have no effect on gameplay, provided you have turned the HERO featur...

NHL2006 Wishlist

This is not really a wishlist site, but I was posting this message elsewhere so I thought it could not hurt. I like many others would like to see changes to the AI and other aspects of the game play, but I will leave that up to EA. Instead, I would like to see some focus put into (or put back into) ...

Who could EVER forget about NHLView :D I was refering to a utility to dump the data out of the SEASON DBs in one step, in a sensible format. I use NHLview to output data from the various tables in the static DB all the time, but you have to do most of what you need one table at a time. Without you S...

If I could add to the request. It would be nice to be able to change the ID numbers as well, so that they can be matched up with whatever EA assigns to the new players added in following years.

Thanks Suchy!

The scripts are the property of our webmaster, Andrew...so I cannot share them. They would be pretty useless anyway, as they read the DB tables into arrays and then use the array values. The program that we use to dump the DB came from Toni Welen's site(NHLINFO). I cannot remember what it is called,...

Thanks very much for the responce Suchy. After looking through the DB alot more carefully, I see where I missed the table instances that you mentioned. As far as my attempt to convert the 2005 DB into 2004, it definitely is not worth the effort of bringing the players in one at a time. I am curious ...

I will pass along your compliments to our Webmaster...he is the one that works most of the magic. I just dream up possibilities based on what is in the DB...he makes it happen somehow. I am still trying to work out how to capture streaks (goals, assists, points, wins, etc.) When I do, that will be o...
