And you open the roster using "Open PS3 Save" in NHLView, not just "Open"?

Yes, I am sure. And the rosters that I've tried to open have also been normal rosters and not online rosters. Although I've tried to open online rosters too  .

And yeah, I open the roster by using "Open PS3 Save". Then I get the message "No valid TDB database found in the savegame". I have not messed with the files etc.

If I just use "Open" and try to open the Param.SFO or any other file directly, I get "The specified database does not appear to be a valid NHL roster".

Could you please send me the roster file in question? If you do not want to attach it here, you can send it by mail. Thanks.

You can unpack it. How do you think I edited it and remade the chm? :P

By the way half your smilies on the forum aren't working.

Guys, please post your issues in separate topics. I find it hard to navigate the multitude of posts in a single thread and respond to each one individually. I'm going to split the questions are unanswered into separate threads.

A strange thing happened when I moved Martin Biron from NYR to hidden. I click on the move button, Martin Biron disappears from NYR list but didn't appeared in the hidden list. When I look in the first tab Martin Biron has NYR in the team field but I couldn't find him anymore on the roster list.

Thanks

Awesome tool, been playing around with it for hours now and it does work great.. One question though. Is it ever possible to change the intros to NHL style for european teams with this editor or are those intros modeled inside a different file uneditable with this tool?

That "National Anthem" intro is really annoying and should only be used in some occasional international games.

Just for fun to know. Was there a reason that you decided to start from scratch when creating this new editor? Was the file structure too different to continue developing the PC version?

It would have been too difficult to maintain an already huge code base for PC and next-gen side by side. Can't say the PC version of NHLView was super well designed either so it was more difficult to plug in a new db format than to rewrite it. I did reuse a bunch of things including the tdb engine that powers tdbaccess, tdbview and nhlview as well as UI architecture of the PC version. However, the backend is totally different and much better suited for future expansion.
